This old trunk

Project description:

This trunk…A pine box veneered in pressed tin and battened with oak slats.

It is special to someone. This antique trunk may not be particularly valuable for resale.
However the owner decided to make it beautiful again.

Process:

The metal was cleaned with a wire wheel, and polished with fine sand paper.
The wood was then sanded with #220 sand paper.
The exterior has been oiled then waxed.
The Interior was re-lined to cover rotted paper over the coarse pine; and a wooden tray made to fit in the top ( Wood tray not shown )
